Weppa Wanno Pyramid Club Donates to Flood Victims

Weppa Wanno Pyramid Club of Nigeria has donated relief materials and cash worth N .4 Million to victims of flood disaster encamped at Agenebode, Head Quarters of Etsako East Local Government Area in Edo State.

The relief materials donated by the club include Food items,clothing materials, domestic items such as soap,Drugs and Cash.

Speaking at the presentation of the relief materials,Chairman of the Benin chapter of the Club Engineer Tom Eshemogie who represented the president of the club Barrister Michael Out stated that apart from contributing towards alleviating the plight of the victims,the Club thinks those affected should have relatively suitable accommodation from where they can go out to pursue their daily livelihood.

The club therefore appealed to the Federal Government of Nigeria to establish permanent rehabilitation centers for victims displaced by disasters across the country. Addressing the victims, the club appealed to them to be calm in the camp and trust in God who will soon turn their story to glory.

Receiving the relief materials on behalf of the council ,the secretary to Etsako East local government Area ,Adams Oshiobugie commended the high profile gesture of the club and called on similar groups to rise up to the task of being the keepers of their fellow men.

He thanked the Club especially for the cash donations which is targeted at the education of the children in the various camps as well as provide wears for them.

Leader of the victims ,Musa Agonor ,and one of the victims Grace Okhumhale ,expressed heartfelt gratitude to the club for coming to their aid and prayed God to replenish their purse. Over three Thousand displaced and dispossessed persons are currently encamped in Agenebode.
